Where have I been?!

Okay so yes,... I have stayed out of the limelight or so it appears by this blog! ;-P I have absolutely done a lot as for as in crafts, parties, photos, etc. But have not had the time to post the pictures. I really need to get on the ball with all of this as this was to be a blog to document my interest and things I have done but it seems as though my Facebook has become my blog! LOL. I will do better! I have been down health wise and actually off now from work due to some issues but this weekend I feel as though I will try to get caught up on some things and this blog! Hope you enjoy some of the things I have done as I certainly have! Later!

Spring Cleaning and then RELAXING!

Well this past weekend I cleaned the house and helped Lance put up a cabinet above the dryer,.... I worked my butt off but for some reason I couldn't tell it?! It all started with the seal on our front bathroom toilet going bad and needing to replace it ofcourse that day ecspecially since that is the kids and guests' bathroom. So I had to clean the water up and that led to me deciding to clean the entire bathroom which led to the other bathroom and then into the laundry room and then the kitchen,.... I wanted to do the entire the house and had plans to, but phew,... man I was tired by 5 pm! Yes it took me that long to get all that completed! :-) I will get the rest of it this coming weekend and maybe even shampoo carpet!? NO SHOES PLEASE! LOL At least that way I may keep it clean for atleast ONE day! Around 5:00 pm, a dear friend of mine, Karla and her daughter Hannah, came over and I helped Hannah with some math homework and then we ate a spaghetti feast with a delicious salad and french bread. Yum! After dinner we watched the movie "Faster" with The Rock and Billy Bob Thornton in it,... it was pretty good! It had a twist though. Good friends, good times!

Sunday morning came early it seemed,.. maybe we were just tired from the late movie?! Either way,... church was good as always! I received homework to complete before next Sunday,... shouldn't be too hard I hope. After church we went to eat at a Mexican restuarant with some friends from church, Kim and her daughters, Drew, Jesse, and others! We had a huge table of 12 people! It was fun,.... afterwards of course it was off to Wal-Mart to get things for this week and then home. We watched another movie called "Skyline",... it is a sci-fi movie that was okay but about aliens,... not really my kind of movies but it was time I got to spend with my hubby on the couch to relax with him while the kids were watching their own movie!

Overall, we had a good weekend,... I got "some" of the things done that I wanted to accomplish,... I still have my room and the living room office area to clean,... yuck! Oh well,... it has to be done! :-)

Awesome Weekend!

So we had a great weekend together with friends! Friday night Kayleigh spent the night with her best friends, Madison and Kylee! Saturday morning we had our Girl Scout Cookie Booth and completely sold out of cookies! Woo Hoo! After the sale we went and ate at the Chinese buffet in Malvern and then back to my house where they played all day long.

Saturday night, we had some friends, Jennifer, Jaret, Madison, Kim, and Troy, come over for a Mexican Dinner with all the fixins'! So delicious ecspecially the oreo ice cream cake we had afterwards! We played board games until about 1:00 am!

Sunday morning we got up, went to church and joining us was Jennifer, Jaret, Madison, Brandy, Stephen, Bri, Gracie, and their cousin! So awesome! After church we all went back to my house and had a huge fish fry with all the fixins' including pinto beans, hushpuppies, fries, coleslaw, bread n' butter pickles, dipping sauces, etc! YUMMY! It was so delicious that I ate and ate and just could not eat dessert! I would guess I gained about 10 pounds! ;-P

We really are so fortunate to have friends like we have! I thoroughly enjoyed this past weekend with friends, family, and beautiful weather,...

Keeping up with the Chaney's! :-)

So here I go again,... not sure why I quit posting back in 2009 (geez what a long time that has been) either way the thing is now,... I'm ready! I want to share with you what we Chaney's have been up to and what we like to do!

I have been doing a lot of scrapbooking here lately and love to share my works with my friends and figured what better way to show what we do than with a blog! I finished Kayleigh's girl scout book and am working on her's and Kaiden's baby books now! I know, I know,... why now!? Well the thing is,... I have time now I guess?! Who knows but I wanted to start on them so they would have them before they turn 50 years old! LOL No seriously,... I had other projects going but now ready to get on their books so I will be posting tid bits here and there of their books among other things we are doing. Such as,...

Lance right now is working on his fishing boat,... I should have taken a before picture because he is working on it now and what little bit he has completed on it I can already tell it will be nice once he is finished with it! I cannot wait to go camping and fishing! WooHoo! Can you say FUN TIMES COMING! Kaiden I know will enjoy that as well as Kayleigh! She loves to fish,... I still have that to scrap too! Oh my,... a lot of work I have to get done,... one day at a time! :-)

I have lost a lot of pictures, ecspecially of Kayleigh, when my hard drive crashed on my computer so baby pictures and so on would be awesome?! Kaiden I have covered! LOL Not unless you might have taken some and I did not get a copy?! Hmmmmm,.... Christy!? LOL Just kidding! Either way,... I will be posting and keeping you all updated through this blog and Facebook,... hopefully I can keep up!

"Spiderman" Birthday Card

So hello again,... we went to one of our friend's little boy's birthday party and I made his birthday card for him! It turned out so cute! Lance said that it looked store bought and would have thought that had he not seen me make it! LOL I guess it was good huh?! We bought Shawn, birthday boy, a Spiderman Fishing Pole and of course I wanted a matching card,... I was not able to find one that I liked so I decided I would make it! Lance found a Spiderman tag card at Wal-Mart and we bought it to use on the card for the Spiderman image. I used red, blue, and black cardstock. With the black I embossed a spider web for texture and design and then yellow eyelets to bring in the yellow from the title and attach the image and poem I wrote on the inside. I thnk it is soooooo cute,.... check it out!

Well what can I say,... I am a happily married woman with two wonderful children and a wonderful husband! I am into scrapbooking and crafty things and believe that is almost become an addiction! ; ) I am very fortunate to be married to someone that understands my hobbies, interests, and all that wonderful sane (sometimes insane) stuff and I as well understand his! LOL We still have not figured out whose is more expensive though,... ; ) Either way,... I made this blog so that I can share my interest with friends and family and keep in touch with all the wonderful things that we face and do each week. I will also be posting crafty things that I have done and come up with, hence the hobby focus I have emphasized already! LOL So excited to get started,... ready?!
